The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete boasts substantial social media following
Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He basically told me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in just three tournaments this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He is the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, especially reaching youth audiences.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
