Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
