It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.
